LEED Water Efficiency

Annually, Americans extract 3,700 billion gallons more than they return to natural water systems like rivers, streams, reservoirs, and aquifiers. Minimizing water usage will reduce operational expenses and lessen the environmental burden on local water supplies.

Many water conservation strategies involve either no additional costs or rapid paybacks. LEED Water Efficiency credits describe these strategies.
