  • EPA Names Colorado Springs Utilities a Partner of the Year (3/7/08)   —  The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized Colorado Springs Utilities with a 2008 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award for its outstanding contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The award recognizes excellence in delivering information and services to its customers to increase energy efficiency. Colorado Springs Utilities, a long standing ENERGY STAR partner, is being honored for their work to boost market share of ENERGY STAR qualified new homes through comprehensive outreach, education, and marketing programs.
  • First Gold with LEED® for Homes in Colorado (1/4/08)   —  A Stapleton multi-family housing project administered by Architectural Energy Corporation (AEC) and E-Star Colorado, and developed by Northeast Denver Housing Association, attained the state's first Gold Certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) pilot LEED® for Homes program.
  • AEC's Ellen Franconi Speaking at the GreenBuild Conference (11/5/07)   —  Energy Analysis Group leader, Ellen Franconi, will be speaking at the U.S. Green Building Council's 2007 GreenBuild Conference, which will be taking place in Chicago, Illinois.
  • Architectural Energy Corporation Chosen as Firm of the Year (11/2/07)   —  Architectural Energy Corporation (AEC) has been selected as "The 2007 Firm of The Year" by The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Northern Colorado Chapter.
  • The Lighting California's Future Program (10/24/07)   —  The Lighting California's Future Program is a $3.7 million California Energy Commission Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program focused on lighting technologies for buildings. The program, which is managed by Architectural Energy Corporation, features nine technical projects and a cross-cutting market connection project.
  • AEC Receives Press in Boulder Business Report on Xcel Energy Project (10/16/07)   —  The Boulder County Business Report recently published a full page article on Architectural Energy Corporation's involvement with Xcel Energy's Colorado Energy Design Assistance (EDA) custom consulting program. The Energy Design Assistance program provides energy design and analysis services, through Architectural Energy Corporation, free-of-charge to Xcel Energy commercial and industrial electricity customers that meet certain eligibility requirements.
