— Washington, DC – The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) new Washington, DC building was awarded LEED® gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Architectural Energy Corporation (AEC), formerly EMSI, a subsidiary of Carrier Corporation, provided sustainable design and LEED® certification consulting to the project team. LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the USGBC’s rating system for designing and constructing the world’s greenest, most energy efficient and high performing buildings.
