The research team includes:
The AEC PIER Program team consists
of three national laboratories, preeminent universities,
and leading technology providers
working with major manufacturers and California utilities
to develop these technologies and bring them to bear on California’s
marketplace. The reserach team has extensive project management
and science and technology capabilities and experience, world-class
laboratory facilities, and a record of direct involvement
in research activities for California utilities and the California
Energy Commission (CEC). It has extensive industry participation
and a solid base of matching funding by industry and governmental
agencies. It also has established strong linkages to ongoing
market-transformation activities of utilities and other institutions
in California to ensure that the research and development
products are targeted for subsequent introduction into California
markets.
