The project on Wireless Integrated Photosensor and Motion Sensor (WIPAM) Lighting Control System sought to reduce the total installed cost and improve the reliability of commercial lighting controls. Installation costs are reduced because lighting control components do not need to be wired into the switchbox or ceiling-mounted near the luminaire but can instead be located wherever is convenient, effective, and accessible.
Project team: Adura Technologies and the CLTC
Adura has commercialized an easy-to-install lighting control system that combines photosensors and motion sensors with low power wireless communication for private offices, corridors, and parking garages.
Energy savings up to 60% have been realized.
The WIPAM system is installed in a corridor at the CLTC facility. System features and energy savings are highlighted in this video (please allow time for the video to begin). Additional information is available at the CLTC web site.
