Lighting California's Future is funded under the California Energy Commission Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program.

We are pleased to have collaborative efforts with the following:

Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council - led by major electric utilities in California; supports PIER product demonstrations

Daylighting Plus - PIER program led by Heschong Mahone Group; Technical Overview Brief

High-Performance Commercial Building Facades - PIER program led by LBN; Technical Overview Brief

Lighting for Tomorrow - managed in part by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency and 2008 funding from the California Energy Commission

PIER Energy Efficient Campus Program - features several new lighting technologies; managed by the California Institute for Energy and Environment

PIER Demonstration Map - interactive map of installed PIER product demonstrations provided by California for Energy and the Environment.

 
Valuable Lighting Resources

Advanced Lighting Guidelines - led by New Buildings, these guidelines represent the most recent advances in the lighting industry. The document is under revision and an updated version is scheduled for 2009.

Energy Design Resources - administered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, San Diego Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, and Southern California Gas under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission

PIER Product Tech Briefs - E Source developed technical briefs describing PIER products that are now commercially available

The California Lighting Technology Center - Established through a joint effort of the California Energy Commission and the University of California, Davis, the CLTC conducts both cooperative and independent activities with lighting manufacturers, electric utilities and the design and engineering professional communities
