Project 6.3. Lighting R&D/Codes Scoping Study - Reports


The following reports are available.

  • Lighting Standard Review - This report provides an overview of energy code requirements for efficient lighting, beginning with California's Title 24 requirements, and continuing through the other states to the national and international energy codes.
  • Project Review Report - This document summarizes the code applicability of and potential for future code changes from the PIER LRP products.
  • Complementary Lighting Research Review - This report provides a discussion of the research context around each of the PIER Lighting Research Program (LRP) projects.
  • Prioritized R&D Report - The report facilitates a discussion of each LRP project’s potential to influence the future development of efficiency standards and includes TRC calcs for several of the LRP products.
  • Lighting Research Needs - This report describes those areas of research where the LRP program could support updates to the California energy codes and assist the state in its goals of reducing per capital energy consumption and electrical demand.
  • Project Final Report - This report summarizes the activites completed under this project and includes the Prioritized R&D Report and the Lighting Research Needs Report.
