Welcome to the Outdoor
Air Load Calculator Home Page

Current Version: 1.3

The Outdoor Air Load Calculator is a java based tool for calculation of fresh air heating and cooling loads. It utilizes weather data for only Canadian and United States locations.

It is provided to you free of charge through Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Food Service Technology Center (FSTC).  This program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.

  • WEB OPERATION:  You are welcome to use the OAC interactively over the Internet.  Simply click on this link and the OAC will start in your browser.  All you need is a Java JDK 1.1 compliant browser, your computer type (Mac, PC, Unix...) doesn't matter.  This download is approximately 374 kB and weather data is downloaded interactively as needed.
  • Full Download:  If you are planning to use the OAC frequently you are welcome to download the entire application to your local computer.  This option will download the entire weather database and the actual program in a compressed .zip format.
Your questions and comments are welcome!  Please send your suggestions and comments to David Zabrowski. For technical assistance please contact Ferdinand Schmid
