Data Loggers
MicroDataLogger® (MDL) Portable Data Acquisition System
AEC developed and manufactured the
MicroDataLogger® (MDL) portable data
acquisition system in the late 1980s and 1990s when no other data
logger like it existed: hand held, time series data collection,
versatility in connecting to and powering third-party sensors, flash
memory, ease of use ... the list goes on and on. The driving need for
the product was our energy engineering services and the need for
short-term monitoring in facility operations evaluations, commissioning of new
building systems, retro-commissioning of exisiting building systems,
and desire to offer our own customers a completely integrated service
offering. The MDL products manufactured by AEC have been out of production since early 2005.
HOBO® Energy Logger System
When the MDL product line was nearing the end of its production, AEC teamed with a data logger manufacturer to develop a new data logger that offered many of the same capabilities as the MicroDataLogger system. The HOBO® Energy Logger is a modular, reconfigurable data logging system
for energy and industrial monitoring applications. The 15-channel
system enables energy and facility management professionals to quickly
and easily solve a broad range of monitoring applications without
having to purchase a toolbox full of loggers, and it also is used in AEC's energy engineering services. To learn more about the HOBO® Energy Logger click here to go to the manufacturer's website.
More Information
AEC developed, manufactured, and sold data acquisition equipment from the late 1980s through 2010, but our core business was always sustainable building services with our data acquisition equipment supporting those efforts.
In July of 2010, we discontinued commercial sales of equipment to refocus our efforts on what we do best: energy and sustainability services.
