MicroDataLogger Features

Architectural Energy Corporation's MicroDataLogger® (MDL) portable data acquisition system is a battery or line-powered, four-channel data logger and hand-held meter which records time-series data from virtually any sensor or transducer.

The system is the complete monitoring solution for your engineering and scientific applications, and is available for purchase or rental. View the MDL Specifications

The logger records data from its four channels with 12-bit resolution and has an LCD display with a single push-button switch:

  • Push the button once: verify that the logger is operating. The date, time and logging status are displayed.
  • Push the button twice: the logger becomes a handheld meter displaying real-time readings refreshed every second.
  • Push the button three times: all setup parameters programmed into the unit are displayed.
  • Push the button four times: the logger's battery voltage is reported.

MDL-DataManager™ Software

Bundled with the purchase or rental of the MicroDataLogger® system is fully-integrated Windows®-software. The MDL-DataManager™ software features easy configuration, data-retrieval, and data-statistics with viewing, editing, and printing of presentation-quality graphs using simple point-and-click commands. View DataManager™ screen shots.

Time-series data plots from multipul time-synchronized but independently operating loggers may be plotted on the computer display and printed. ASCII export capability enables exporting of data to other analysis and plotting software.

MicroDataLogger® Versatility

Plug-in signal conditioning modules simplify setup and make it possible for the logger to accept a variety of input signals. Any of the modules may be plugged into any channel. Modules pre-wired to sensors are recognized by the logger and properly scaled. Slopes, offsets, and engineering units are easily entered for user-furnished sensors and transducers.

The MicroDataLogger® unit may run on its internal user-rechargeable battery or be plugged into an electrical outlet. Additionally, sensor excitation voltage is available through the plug-in modules to power sensors and transducers.

The MicroDataLogger® units may be used as a stand-alone portable data acquisition system to meet any variety of user-defined data collection needs, or as part of an integrated system of application software, such as the ENFORMA Portable Diagnostic Solutions series.
