CKV Research Highlights

Recent CKV Research

The CKV Laboratory recently completed research for the California Energy Commission (CEC) [offsite link] and PG&E to improve the energy efficiency of commercial kitchen ventilation systems. The project focuses on how the introduction of replacement (makeup) air affects the capture and containment performance of commercial food service ventilation equipment. More information about this project is available on the CEC PIER website. [offsite link]

The Final Report may be downloaded here, as well as the Design Guidelines resulting from this research.

These unique services provide opportunities to improve equipment performance and test for code compliance. Potential benefits to clients are: reduced installation costs, reduced operation costs, and improved indoor air quality.
