LEED Documentation

Submitting complete and formal LEED® documentation to the USGBC can be a formidable task. AEC provides consulting services to identify and integrate viable sustainable design strategies into new construction or existing facilities. AEC can also organize the preparation and submittal of LEED® documentation to obtain formal LEED® Certification from the USGBC.

LEED® Certification activities provided by AEC include:

Pre-Design/Programming Phase
  • Organize and manage a sustainable design charrette
  • Investigate LEED® criteria for technical and cost viability
  • Establish LEED® rating goal within project scope and budget

Schematic Design Phase

  • Provide ongoing LEED® technical assistance
  • Conduct analyses of LEED® credit implementation
  • Undertake a LEED® Feasibility Study to assess potential and premium (hard and soft costs) for LEED® Certification

 Design Development Phase
  • Work with architect to review and approve final design and associated LEED® documentation
  • Oversee incorporation of LEED® criteria into plans and specifications
  • Update LEED® scorecard per Design Development documents

Construction / Occupancy Phase

  • Continued review of plans and specifications to ensure LEED® compliance
  • Oversee LEED® credit implementation on the job site
  • Assist Design Team to prepare LEED® Certification documents for submittal
  • Submit LEED® Certification application
  • Respond to USGBC review queries and comments
  • Conduct LEED-related commissioning and measurement and verification services
  • Provide continuous commissioning services
