LEED Measurement and Verification Services

Measurement and Verification (M&V) is a formal, systematic process for determining the functional and energy saving performance of a building's energy-using systems. Architectural Energy Corporation energy engineers are nationally recognized experts in developing and implementing M&V plans in support of performance contracting, utility-sponsored energy efficiency and demand-side management programs, and projects specific to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design™ (LEED) rating system.
Architectural Energy Corporation has performed M&V services on hundreds of new and existing buildings throughout the U.S., involving a wide variety of lighting and HVAC applications. Building types have included office buildings, laboratories, libraries, museums, theaters, parking garages, grocery stores, hospitals, clinics, retail, religious facilities, hotels, fire stations, prisons, and schools.
The M&V procedures used by Architectural Energy Corporation include site inspections, interviews with facility personnel and operations contractors, and short-term monitoring of selected system components, and detailed energy modeling. The Department of Energy's International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) is used as a framework for these services, applying the various M&V options (A through D) to each measure or facility as appropriate. |
